VA-flow meters steel

A steel VA meter is an instrument available for pipes from ¼ inch to 8 inches (DN200). All product mounted parts are made of steel or optionally in PTFE. These VA meters are particularly suitable for heavy-duty applications, where pipes are larger, the pressure and temperature higher (or lower), where the process connections must be flanged, etc. The reading of a steel VA meter is also different compared to a plastic or glass version.

The float is (always) provided with a magnet. Via a magnetic coupling the position of the float is transferred to an indicating part. The measuring tube is made of stainless steel. In stainless steel because carbon steel is magnetic and this would not allow the magnetic coupling to scale. The flanged process connection can be in carbon steel. The readout is usually a little easier than with the other VA meters and some more text can be put on the scale, such as tagno, process data, etc.

The steel VA meter can be fitted with a contact (or several) and a transmitter is optional.
